We went for American Tradition's Homestead Tea Room Yellow in the dining room and kitchen ~ it really brightens everything up.

Mae, you need to come finish painting my basement for me! Everything looks so nice. How many coats did that red take?
The red took FOUR coats, but it was the first time I had ever painted anything other than a canvas in art class! If I had used a tinted primer first, I'm sure it could have been done in two coats instead. Thanks! I'm pretty proud of the job myself ~ though it'll be a long time b4 I take up painting as a career!
