That didn't make sense did it...It was between Tibetan Red and Summer Pudding for the bedroom, but I decided to do the Sandy Shell in there and do the bathroom red...Rob wasn't sure he could handle the red rum, RED RUM (Did you see the shining?) What is the yellow color? Our garage is littered with sample color quarts!
I'm sold on the yellow (official name "Homestead Resort Tea Room Yellow" and I too, think the mocha (Lyndhurst Mushroom) could be a shade ligter, I was thinking of getting a texture and glaze to mix in and go over for some interest and to make it fun to touch. "RED RUM" was all Brandon and I said to each other the entire week that I labored away at painting. I love the red, it makes the room very dark at night and it's a nice surprise in our eggshell colored home! Just needs a nice crown molding to finish it off. Want to see a picture? I've got that whole ordeal down pat. If I could only figure out how to do a blog role to the right of my page, I'd be a satisfied woman!!! Maybe we were seperated at birth, or I'm a clone and no one wanted to let the news slip out. Dolly the sheep got all of the media attention instead! :)
I can talk you through the blog role thing. You know that example that you are supposed to copy in the help section? Just copy it. Then go to the template on your dash board. Scroll down to almost the bottom (on mine anyway) and look for the Iblogger button info. Paste the blog list sample a line below or above the blogger button stuff, change the addresses and names, save, publish a WAH LAH! A blog role of your very own! I tried it for a week before a friend told me I was putting it in the wrong place. I decded to use the Iblogger button thing as a "map marker" and it worked. Hope that helps!
The picture thing I can not figure out! And I love that yellow. I am debating the room colors again..it will depend on how I go on the bedding. Our crown moldings are all white and our ceilings are all egg shell ...except Kolby's is Sky blue (Garden theme complete with a white picket fence, painted flowers and cute 3-d lady bugs, butterflies and bees) and the guest bath ceiling I painted dark green 4 to bring out the green in the wall paper I can't afford to replace!
Thank you dear, I'll work on the role. For pictures, download Hello / Picsa. It's easy and finished in 4 or less steps. Once you do that, your pictures on the computer will pop up, select one, hit the hello tab at the bottom right corner, hit send, add a caption, publish, and Tah Dah! Pictures are sent to your blog! There are also step by step instructions on hello.com/help/postpisture.php that may be a bit more detailed & informative!
I like the mocha, personally. Reminds me of our family room color, which Rob says reminds him of a chocolate milkshake. Not a bad thing to be reminded of!
I love yellows, too. The one you've shown is about the same color as in my nursery. But I've seen it used in rooms all over homes in magazines. My basement is Red. "Antique Ruby". (My mother just loves that.)
I am me: Christian, wife, mom, newly stay-at-homer, and triathlete-in-training who is working on changing things for the better in my life... starting with the inside.
