Well, I am not really a fan of Smarties, but I have to say they have a really cute web page. I never would have known. Good luck on that test.

Let me start off by saying that we live in the most wonderful country in the world... and this includes our freedoms we enjoy on an everyday basis, all which came at a price we owe our ancestors and those still fighting for our freedom today. So you have the right to vote for who you want. This is why I am voting for George W. Bush--
I am a Christian. As a follower of Christ, the Bible tells me to trust in God that He will provide me with all I NEED. That is my duty-- and I shall love Him with all my heart, mind, body, and soul. There are a lot of issues in this election that might affect how much money I have in my pocket in the future, might help or hurt healthcare, taxes, the deficit, etc. As these are important issues during our time here on earth, it doesn't change my duty to follow Christ and abstain from every form of evil. It is still MY duty as a Christian to take care of the orphans and widows (the needy) and to love my neighbor. However, there are some issues that John Kerry stands for that AS A CHRISTIAN it is not Christ-like to support. For example, abortion and homosexual marriage. Some may see these as two tiny issues that may not affect the big picture... but Christ would not consider these issues to be taken lightly. America was a country based on Christianity, even our public buildings and our money have traces of this and inscriptions such as "In God We Trust". God has truly blessed America as they have followed Him... let us not forget our roots and go astray. As a Christian, it is my DUTY to vote for the best candidate that will support God's will-- the only WILL that will still matter in one million years. To vote for John Kerry would be a vote against Christianity. I'm not saying that either one of these men are pure evil or completely perfect. However, if Christ were here today... what issues would motivate his vote? What would HIS vision be for America? I believe George W. Bush is the better choice.

WOW Anon! That is quite a speech! I voted for Bush...I campained for him! I was up at 6am to stand outside the Firehouse in Crawford to watch him vote and I didn't go to bed until 4AM waiting for him to win ...BUT Mae's choise for president does not make her a Christian... er servanthood to Christ does. You can serve Christ and vote for Kerry. Really! So back off of Mae. Don't give Bush and Christians a bad name!

Actually, I wasn't bashing her. I don't know who she voted for to tell you the truth. I was just explaining why I voted for W. And honestly, you can't pick and choose parts of your life that you want to apply to your Christianity. You are a Christian in EVERYTHING that you do.

Colossians 3:17
"And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him."

When we become Christians, we put on Christ. I will not let myself separate any part of my life here on earth with my spirituality.

Looks like your campaigning paid off! Go W!

Hiya Mae, This is Mat Brewster. You do remember your days in the Spire/yearbook office at good ole FU don't you? I've been meaning to comment on your blog for ages, but have just been a slacker. And now its a good excuse to plug my own blogspot.

Everybody's welcome, comment often! Sorry that's just awful, but I don't get nearly the traffic you do :)

Truly am enjoying reading about your life. Glad you are doing so well. Um, to post on topic here, afraid I didn't get to vote at all. Procrastinated too much on getting my absentee ballot (I'm living in France at the moment) and ran out of time.

Sorry if this posts twice. I tried once and blogger got all goofy on me.

Oh my! I just re-read my comment. I really did graduate from college. I actually do know how to spell choice, campaign, her and others! Note to self: reread comments typed before publishing, especially after getting four hours of sleep in 36 hours!
