P.S. For the "passive no more" Gramma.... Hadlee can actually say "Amma" when referring to her Gramma. I was simply making a point that a 10 month old whose native tongue is English was speaking a very loooonnng Spanish word before she said "Momma". We love you, no matter the degree of passivity!

Thomas's first word was "abre" because Matthew was totally into Dora the Explorer when Thomas was one. Every time Matthew would open a door, he would say "abre". Yes, Thomas's first word really was in Spanish!
